Seller Agreement

Resonatta is open to individuals and small businesses selling handcrafted, used or sound healing instruments — makers, workshops, teachers and players clearing space alike. You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract where you live.

• List accurately: real photos, honest condition grading, correct tuning, materials and dimensions.
• Ship promptly and within the handling time you advertise.
• Reply to buyer messages within a reasonable time — a couple of business days at most.
• Represent your work honestly. Say clearly if an instrument was made by someone else.
• Honour your own stated return, warranty and shipping policies.

No stolen goods, counterfeit or misattributed instruments, protected or illegally sourced materials, weapons, or anything otherwise illegal. Non-instrument goods require approval before listing.

Resonatta charges a transaction fee of 6% of each completed sale, together with a payment processing fee of 3% plus 25¢. On used listings the percentage fees are calculated on the item price plus shipping, subject to a minimum of $0.50 applied once to the used portion of an order; on new listings they are calculated on the item price only, and shipping is passed through to the Seller without deduction. The 25¢ fixed component is charged once per order per shop, regardless of the number of items in that order. All amounts are deducted automatically before payout, and the figures applicable to your listing type are shown on the fees page and in your dashboard at the time of sale.

Teaching revenue splits 70% to the maker side and 30% to Resonatta. On a blended multi-maker tier that same 70% pool is divided between the makers taking part — with four makers, 17.5% each — rather than paid on top.

Course prices are set by Resonatta, not by individual teachers: every course in a tier costs the same, so students choose on fit rather than price. Resonatta runs discount and promotional campaigns at its own discretion, and teachers cannot opt out of them.

The cost of a discount is shared proportionally rather than deducted from one side alone. A 20% discount reduces both the platform's and the maker side's takings by 20%; the 70/30 split itself never changes. Each subscription line on your payouts page shows the list price, any discount, what the student paid, and your resulting share.

Sellers connect a Stripe account to receive money. Payouts are released after the order is confirmed as fulfilled and any applicable return window logic has been applied. Stripe handles identity verification and transfers directly to your bank.

You can take your payout as cash to your bank, or as Resonatta platform credit. Credit payouts on used instrument sales earn a 1% bonus on top of the payout amount. Credit expires one year after it is issued, is non-transferable and has no cash value.

You are responsible for your own tax obligations, including income, sales and VAT where applicable. Resonatta and its payment partners may issue a Form 1099 or equivalent where the law requires it, so keep your tax details current.

Buyers may review the instruments they purchase. You may not buy, trade, incentivise or otherwise manipulate reviews, and you may not pressure a buyer to change or remove one. Report a review that breaks the rules and we will look at it.

Resonatta may hide listings, pause payouts, or suspend or terminate a seller account for violations of this agreement or our other policies. We will normally explain why and give you a chance to respond, except where a rapid response is needed to protect buyers.
