How do I know an instrument is well made?

Every listing is tied to a named maker with a storefront, location and specialty. Check their shop rating, read the listing's materials and variations, and message them directly with the “Ask the Maker” button before ordering.

What's the difference between new and used listings?

New instruments are made to order or in stock at the maker's workshop. Used listings are pre-loved instruments sold by practitioners, with a condition grade and honest wear notes in the description.

Can I return an instrument?

Accepted Answer

Returns are arranged with the maker — message them from your order and agree what happens. Refunds, full or partial, are issued by the seller or by Resonatta to your original payment method, and stock goes back on sale when an order is cancelled or fully refunded. Custom and made-to-order builds are usually final sale.

Where can I see my orders and saved items?

What does it cost to sell?

Opening a shop is free and there's no listing fee. When an item sells you pay 6% transaction fee + 3% & 25¢ payment processing. On used listings those percentages are charged on the item price plus shipping, with a $0.50 minimum on the used portion of an order. On new listings they're charged on the item price only, so shipping passes through to you fee-free. The 25¢ is charged once per order from your shop, however many items are in it. Courses and digital content are charged at 25%.

How do payouts work?

New shops are paid a few business days after the carrier confirms delivery. Once you've completed a handful of sales you're paid as soon as the carrier scans the parcel, and established shops are paid as soon as the buyer's payment clears. Holds lift automatically — there's nothing to apply for. From there the money reaches your bank on Stripe's normal payout schedule for your account, and your current stage is always shown on the Payouts page.

Can I sell a used instrument without opening a full shop?

Yes. Create a profile, then add a listing with condition set to Used. You'll get the same dashboard tools without needing a full maker storefront.

How do shipping profiles work?

Create reusable profiles with domestic and international rates, processing time and package weight, then attach a profile to any listing.

Can I teach lessons for the instruments I sell?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Courses section lets you build a curriculum of modules and lessons, set a price, and drip-feed content to enrolled students.
